Clinic Medical Assistant (MA-C) - Orthopedics - Full Time (40 hours/week)
About the role
KVH is an integrated healthcare delivery system providing 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, clinics, and specialty care including family medicine, internal medicine, geriatric services, home health and hospice, physical therapy, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, women’s health, and urgent care. The Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA) supports assigned providers to deliver excellent patient care, with potential float to other KVH clinics.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist with medical procedures and administer injections and medications
- Verify and update patient medical records for completeness
- Refill medications and notify patients of test results
- Perform other duties within the CMA scope of practice as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program
- Currently licensed in the State of Washington
- Current BLS card for Healthcare Provider (maintenance required)
- Previous exposure to an Electronic Medical Records system
Qualifications
- Certified as Bilingual; English/Spanish (preferred)
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
- CWCA Wound Care Certification (preferred)
- Registered Orthopedic Technologist from The American Society of Orthopedic Professionals (preferred)
Pay
Wage range starts at $21.91/hour and goes up to $33.22/hour. Actual wage based on years of applicable experience. Career progression ladder for Medical Assistants:
- Tier 2: $21.91 – $33.22
- Tier 3: $23.35 – $35.39
- Tier 4: $24.52 – $37.16
- Tier 5: $25.74 – $39.02
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
