Clinic Manager, Pearl Street Medical Clinic
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective supervision of all providers and office staff, ensuring the delivery of prompt, courteous, and high-quality care to our patients. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including maintaining performance standards, managing schedules, implementing and optimizing the medical billing system, and overseeing third-party reimbursements, physician billing, collections, contract administration, and management reporting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Regional Administrator on development, implementation and training related to clinic goals, policies, procedures, mission, and work standards.
- Captures and coordinates daily operations. Recommends procedures, treatments or other course of action to assist staff.
- Manages all clinic staff. Establishes and maintains communication as the liaison between employer, providers, staff and patients.
- Participates in the development of quality improvement processes. Maintains performance standards of supervised employees including performance evaluations, discipline, training and development.
- Maintains adequate staffing levels through timely and effective recruitment. Delegates and monitors all office responsibilities. Effectively and timely staffs, trains, and evaluates employees.
- Develops, writes, and updates office policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines. Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and appropriate e-mail updates.
- Works with other supervisors, managers, physicians, staff and the regional administrator to facilitate cross-training and ensure inter-department communication and cohesion.
- Provides daily intervention and resolution of problems by responding to physician and patient complaints. Assures patient satisfaction.
- OSHA coordination and ensures the clinic remains compliant with regulations.
Requirements
Supervisory experience is a requirement for this position, and a background in healthcare management is highly preferred. We are looking for a confident, results-driven individual who can quickly get up to speed. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage professional staff are essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's (Preferred) MHA or MBA, or MS in health administration / business administration / sciences (Preferred).
- Experience: 3 – 6 years of experience in the management of a clinic. 2 or more years of Electronic Health Record experience preferred.
- Accurate and detail oriented; problem solving; pro-active planning; metric development; good organizational skills and communication skills; the ability to work with other department managers and supervisors; experience with management of staff; Ability to manage workload and empower others.
Skills
Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
Benefits
Salary range: $65,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday- Friday
