Clinic Manager - Metro Center
About the role
Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Practice Manager as a full-time position in Nashville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Supervise personnel, staffing, implementation of new and continued existing policies and procedures, adherence to TJC, HIPAA, PCMH, PCSP, performance improvement, and compliance policies.
- Aid staff and physicians with all areas of the practice; assist with training of existing staff and new staff.
- Plan, organize, and manage the operations and activities of one or more health clinics or health programs, ensuring a strategy for future growth in alignment with NGH’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
- Provide financial and management expertise to ensure that all patients receive high-quality, affordable, and efficient care.
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities related to access, efficiency, productivity, service experience, scheduling, billing, provider communication, and quality.
- Maintain budgetary control and meet budgeted productivity targets; develop data collection systems and prepare regular statistical and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction by managing the flow of the clinic.
- Evaluate patient care, operation, and environment of the clinics and staff needs; implement and evaluate programs to meet current and anticipated needs.
- Manage revenue cycle components related to clinic operations, including charge reconciliation for providers and facility to meet budget targets; present monthly revenue reports to key staff.

- Develop schedule, staff’s hours, and patient flow for the center while executing corporate policies and procedures.
- Establish priorities and guidelines for maintaining efficient and expedient workflow for the clinic.
- Oversee the clinic's plan for meeting productivity goals.

- Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for encouraging staff to maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior.
- Facilitate resolution of problems and issues in a team-centered atmosphere.
- Facilitate site meetings, in-service meetings, attend and participate in management meetings, community partner meetings, and marketing activities as required.
- Monitor and ensure adequate stock of supplies, including all medicines and equipment.
- Serve as a liaison between the support center and department leads to ensure center resources are being deployed effectively from finance, operations, marketing, and training.
- Manage revenue cycle components related to clinic operations to include charge reconciliation for providers and facility to meet budget targets; present monthly revenue reports to key staff.
- Perform annual performance and development review for team members.
- Motivate/lead staff and set goals/priorities for staff and physician engagement.
- Ensure OSHA compliance.
- Interface with the support center and department leads to ensure center resources are being deployed effectively from finance, operations, marketing, and training.
Qualifications
- Master’s Public Health or Master’s Healthcare Management or relevant degree strongly preferred with at least two years clinic experience or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a clinic setting, previous PCMH/PCSP and experience with electronic medical records a plus.
- Previous management experience in a clinic preferred.
