About the Role
The Clinic Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of outpatient clinic(s), performing managerial functions such as evaluation, control, planning, and financial oversight. This role ensures efficient and effective operations by monitoring patient volumes and staff performance, leading teams, and collaborating with other leaders to share resources and cross-train staff. The Clinic Manager also assumes leadership in their area of expertise and for assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate day-to-day operations, establishing goals in collaboration with management, staff, and physicians.
- Identify necessary resources to achieve clinic goals and negotiate timely solutions.
- Assist in developing, presenting, and managing the operational portion of the outpatient clinic(s) budget.
- Monitor financial operations and implement effective cost controls.
- Collaborate with physicians and management to ensure quality capital equipment purchases that meet clinic needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and set up new clinic operations, including moving equipment/supplies, setting up utilities, and filing for business licenses.
- Prepare reports and analyze clinic performance measures (e.g., patient volume, patient satisfaction) to ensure efficiency.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to staff in alignment with job descriptions and standards of practice.
- Use resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Participate in peer review and staff development.
- Maintain and develop personal professional competencies.
- Promote teamwork through active cooperation and collaboration.
- Assist in interdepartmental service coordination.
- Actively participate in Performance Improvement and Utilization Review programs.
- Lead the maintenance of a patient-focused care delivery system.
- Direct and guide staff in coordinating clinic operations.
- Attend at least 80% of in-services and departmental meetings.
- Complete employee evaluations in a timely manner per company policy.
- Respond to issues of harassment and discrimination per company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in a healthcare environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Schedule
Flexible schedule to cover clinic hours, primarily Monday through Friday. Schedule may change based on hospital and clinic needs.
