Clinic LPN/Medical Assistant III - Pediatrics

About the role

The MA III and LPN positions at CoxHealth are administrative and clinical roles that involve various duties under the supervision of providers.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Data entry in medical records
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Collecting and reviewing patient medical information
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Cleaning rooms and equipment
• Stocking supplies
• Administering medications as per orders

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a formal MA training program with pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, and completion of a clinical externship (effective 9/1/20)
• No prior experience required for MA III, but preferred for previous experience in direct contact with people and health care settings
• Preferred previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic settings
• Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri for LPN
• Prior IV certification in State of Missouri preferred for LPN

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Proficient in carrying out delegated tasks under supervision or provider oversight
• Proficient in computer skills
