Clinic Lead

About the role

This position serves as the field team lead and provides functional direction to field staff. You will be the primary point of escalation for customer, vet, or store partner issues and drive company vehicles to vaccination clinics. You are responsible for the overall performance and operational compliance of the day’s clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional direction and supervision to field team.
• Effectively perform functions of all clinic team roles and provide coaching where necessary. May fill one or more roles at a time.
• Safely operate company-supplied vehicle to and from clinic locations and office when assigned as driver.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Communicate with customers and business partners to manage difficult situations, including pet incidents (bites, reactions, and emergencies).
• Serve as primary point of contact for Market Manager on clinic-related issues.
• Liaise with leadership at clinic locations to determine optimal clinic setup, crowd management, and issue resolution.
• Ensure all clinic processes are followed and paperwork is completed accurately.
• Facilitate a sales environment by leading targeted discussions during daily commutes.
• Ensure proper handling of all revenues, including deposits to safe or bank.
• Assist customers in completing paperwork for accurate medical records.
• Manage crowd control, clean up pet waste, and handle disruptive pets.
• Offer discounts to customers experiencing disruptive or unpleasant experiences.
• Safely load and unload equipment and supplies from company vehicles.
• Assist in training new partners according to training plan expectations.
• Understand and communicate Vetco medical recommendations, booster schedules, and products.
• Build cooperation and business success with store management.
• Present report card and site report to MOD at clinic conclusion; obtain gross sales receipt or SKU movement report.
• Ensure clinic area is clean and no trash, sharps, or equipment is left behind.
• Notify store in advance if clinic team is running late.
• Reconcile all equipment and supplies at end of clinic and day.
• Escalate clinic issues to Market Manager, Store Manager, or Vetco Customer Service via Incident reporting.
• Complete all paperwork and checklists accurately.
• Restock rig supplies and product bins at end of day.
• Participate in company and sponsor-facilitated training on products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Complete Clinic Lead reports for each shift.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform all clinic job roles.
• Outstanding customer service skills, aptitude for basic sales techniques, and interest in animals.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Leadership qualities and/or experience.
• Ability to operate company vehicles.
• Effectively communicate, provide functional direction, and resolve difficult situations independently.
• Comfortable handling and restraining animals within company policy.
• Existing partners must be in good standing.

Work Environment

• Majority of job duties conducted indoors.
• Passenger vehicle travel required to commute to work locations; some locations may require overnight travel.
• Position involves bending, kneeling, moving equipment (up to 40 pounds), and standing for long periods.
