Clinic Coordinator
About the role
Detroit Recovery Project is seeking a Clinic Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Integrated Health Clinic. This position serves as the operational lead for front desk functions and patient flow while helping ensure an exceptional experience for persons served, visitors, providers, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Cook up day-to-day clinic operations and front desk workflow
- Oversee, train, and support front desk staff
- Onboard, coach, and provide performance feedback to front desk staff
- Monitor patient scheduling, registration, check-in, and check-out processes
- Ensure accurate demographic, insurance, and patient information is maintained within the electronic health record
- Support patient flow and clinic efficiency initiatives
- Resolve patient concerns and operational issues
- Collaborate with providers, leadership, and support staff to ensure quality service delivery
- Aid in obtaining vital signs and basic clinical support duties when qualified and within certification scope
- Maintain clinic supplies and support overall office operations
- Aid in chart preparation, scanning, filing, and record management
- Participate in compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements
- Engage in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, behavioral health, or outpatient clinic setting
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records required
- Experience with NextGen EHR strongly preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including a criminal background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws and organizational policies
- Valid Michigan Driver's License preferred

Pay
The pay rate for this position is $21.63-$22.60 per hour, based on non-discriminatory factors such as education, experience, certifications, technical skills, and overall qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
