Location: Upland Hills Health - Family Practice Clinics - Dodgeville Clinic
Role: Part-time (.7 FTE) day shift position in our Dodgeville Family Practice Clinic.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for the health care visit and perform nursing procedures under supervision of the health care provider
• Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with exams and reviews, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit or treatment
• Preparation of laboratory specimens, performing phlebotomy and basic laboratory tests
• Instrument sterilization, medication administration, and drug refill authorization
• E-prescribing prescriptions to pharmacies as directed
• Patient preparation for x-rays, taking electrocardiograms, removing sutures, changing dressings
• Exam room stocking with adequate supplies
• Triage and processing of patient messages and front office communications to health care providers
• Participation in organizational and departmental CQI activities

Qualifications

• Completed a Medical Assistant Training program or be Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system preferred but not required
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite software programs beneficial
