Clinic Care Technician - Medical Weight Management
About the role
The Clinic Care Technician provides support and assistance with daily patient flow in the clinic setting. Duties include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient charts, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, ordering and maintaining clinic supplies, assisting with clerical tasks, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks
- Supports patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned
- Follows up on no-shows and works with providers to review and approve add-ons
- Greets patients, supports virtual visits, completes identification verification, height, weight, and obtains vitals
- Chaperones exams as needed
- Affirms questionnaires and documents in electronic medical record
- Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes as needed, prints and updates forms, answers internal phone calls, and may place office supply orders
Qualifications
- Customer service skills
- Ability to follow direction and perform tasks within scope of role
- Experience in healthcare or patient care experience
- Experience using electronic medical record
- Medical terminology knowledge
Licenses/Certifications
- Certification/Licensure Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
