About the role

The Clinic Associate plays a crucial role in delivering the Perfect Visit experience in various service lines including Daily Care, Family Medicine, Mental Health, Women's Health, Dermatology, and Podiatry. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, updating medical records, checking patients in and out, performing blood draws, processing labs, maintaining inventory, and supporting medical providers.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule new appointments as needed.
  • Process patient payments.
  • Educate patients on navigating their ZoomCare medical record.
  • Maintain patient’s demographic and insurance information.
  • Perform blood draws and finger sticks while adhering to laboratory standards.
  • Process collected specimens and document results.
  • Maintain supply inventory; order, receive, and store supplies.
  • Work with and maintain basic medical equipment.
  • Provide emergency care to patients when necessary.
  • Support medical providers as needed.
  • Ensure the clinic remains clean and neat.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AthenaOne, and other relevant software applications.
  • Excel in a fast-paced work environment, thriving under pressure and time constraints.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized and reputable organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross).
  • Ability to complete ZoomCare’s phlebotomy training program within six months of hire.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19, Hepatitis B., MMR, PPD, Varicella (Chickenpox), and TD/TDAP.
  • Preferred: Current licensure/certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant - Registered.

Compensation Package

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50 - $26.50 depending on past paid medical experience.
  • May be eligible for other compensation such as bonuses.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and reaching overhead.
  • Occasional crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Prolonged periods of standing/sitting and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to move to different clinic locations based on business needs.
  • Patient volume may require more than scheduled hours per week or work outside regular business hours.
  • Occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to adjust focus between close and distance vision.
  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to be fit tested and wear a respirator, when required.
