Clinic Assistant Specialist (Salisbury, MD) - Veterans Evaluation Services

About the role

Maximus is hiring a Clinic Assistant to join the Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team in Salisbury, MD. The role involves assisting providers and veterans on exam days, solving problems, updating case statuses, and supporting a caring, positive, and patriotic environment for wounded veterans. Due to contract requirements, only U.S. citizens or Green Card holders may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform all job functions in compliance with HIPAA policies and local/externally relevant health and safety laws.
• Gather and provide necessary information to providers, including forms, documents, and vital signs.
• Provide high-level customer service by greeting and directing visitors, answering inquiries, confirming contact and appointment information, and facilitating a positive experience.
• Document all actions taken and pertinent information related to veteran and provider interactions.
• Clean exam rooms between appointments and maintain clinic stock and cleanliness throughout the day.
• Work onsite at the Salisbury, MD clinic as required.
• Travel to other clinics as needed.
• Work some weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Valid driver license (not suspended, revoked, or expired).
• Ability to work onsite in Salisbury, MD.
• Willingness to travel to other clinics as needed.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) as needed.
• Flexibility to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Skills

• Customer service or hospitality industry experience (highly preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (highly preferred).

Pay

$19.73 per hour (fixed rate).

Schedule

Full-time position requiring a 40‑hour work week, with occasional overnight travel and weekend shifts as needed.
