Clinic Assistant Specialist (Cary, NC) - Veterans Evaluation Services

About the Role

Maximus is hiring a Clinic Assistant to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team in Cary, NC. This role involves assisting providers and veterans on exam days, general problem-solving, and updating case statuses. The ideal candidate has a desire to assist wounded veterans with a caring, positive, and patriotic attitude.

Due to contract requirements, only US citizens or Green Card holders can be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform all job functions in compliance with HIPAA policies and adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws.
• Gather and provide necessary information to providers, including forms, documents, and vital signs for evaluations.
• Provide high-level customer service by greeting and directing visitors, answering inquiries, confirming contact and appointment details, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Document all actions and pertinent information related to veteran and provider interactions.
• Clean exam rooms between appointments and maintain clinic stock and cleanliness throughout the day.
• Work onsite at the Cary, NC clinic and travel to other clinics as needed.
• Work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver License (not suspended, revoked, or expired).
• Customer service or hospitality industry experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) highly preferred.

Pay

This position pays a prevailing wage rate of $20.63 per hour, as determined by the Department of Labor for the locality. Salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
