Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is a registered nurse responsible for the overall quality of patient care at a specified site of Covenant Medical Management. The supervisor plans, directs, coordinates and controls the work of the professional and para-nursing personnel in direct collaboration with the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing/hiring, staffing, employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures in conjunction with the Office Manager.
- Supervision of staff to include RNs, Nurse Clinicians and Medical Assistants.
- Determines the appropriate indicators to achieve a successful team and monitors these indicators and provides consistent, frequent feedback to the Office Manager and team members regarding performance relating to goals, objectives, and benchmarks.
- Schedules and prepares for clinical staff meetings in conjunction with the Office Manager.
- Maintains knowledge of all issues relating to Cardiology.
- Works closely with Office Manager to develop, review, and revise policies and procedures for the department to assure compliance with Safety, CLIA, OSHA, Infection Control and other regulatory/accrediting agencies, and any applicable state laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum two (2) years of nursing leadership experience.
- Licensure Requirement: T N Registered Nurse License
