Climate Solutions Sales Rep

About the role

If you're looking to make a difference with one of the world's largest equipment rental providers, this is your chance to join United Rentals as a Vertical Sales Rep for Climate Solutions. You'll be responsible for understanding the needs of potential customers and turning them into loyal clients.

Responsibilities

• Use exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand and meet the needs of interested parties
• Build relationships and sell our equipment and services to customers
• Progress the entire sales process in person or over the telephone
• Negotiate individual transactions and contracts directly with customers
• Show mechanical aptitude and learn the technical features of our equipment to provide specialized solutions
• Be available for on-call rotation to provide after-hour service and response
• Provide equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training
• Ensure attention to detail with sales technology tools and maintain strong organizational skills
• Lift 45 pounds and operate a forklift, lift gate, and box truck safely

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred
• 2 years' sales experience in small A/C and heating rentals and related services is strongly preferred
• Capable of negotiating individual transactions and contracts directly with customers
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn the technical features of the equipment to provide specialized solutions
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or other CRM systems is a plus
• Available for on-call rotation to provide after-hour service and response
• Willingness to provide equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training
• Attention to detail with regard to sales technology tools and strong organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is a must
