Climate Solutions Sales Rep

About the role

If you’re looking to make a difference with one of the world’s largest equipment rental providers, this is your chance to join United Rentals as a Vertical Sales Rep for Climate Solutions. You’ll be responsible for understanding the needs of potential customers and turning them into loyal customers through exceptional sales and consultative skills.

Responsibilities

• Use your sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of interested parties and convert them into loyal customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers through phone calls and face-to-face interactions.
• Negotiate individual transactions and contracts directly with customers.
• Show mechanical aptitude and learn the technical features of the equipment to provide specialized solutions to clients.
• Be available for on-call rotations to provide after-hours service and response.
• Provide equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training.
• Operate a forklift, lift gate, and box truck safely.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Two years' sales experience in small A/C and heating rentals and related services is strongly preferred.
• Capable of progressing the entire sales process in person or over the telephone.
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn the technical features of the equipment to provide specialized solutions to clients.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or other CRM systems is a plus.
• Available for on-call rotation to provide after-hour service and response.
• Willingness to provide equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training.
• Attention to detail with regard to the sales technology tools and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 45 pounds and safely operate a forklift, lift gate, and box truck.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is a must.
