Responsibilities
- Build and configure laptops and desktop PCs using Abacus standard procurement and build processes
- Execute imaging workflows (PXE, USB, or automated tools)
- Stage devices according to Abacus and client-specific checklists
- Install and configure Windows and macOS operating systems
- Configure BIOS settings, drivers, and firmware updates as required
- Troubleshoot hardware issues including GPUs, USB devices, driver conflicts, and OS-level errors
- Validate successful configuration prior to shipment
- Stage and initial configuration on equipment such as: Mobile devices, Desk phones, Peripheral hardware, Network devices
Qualifications
- Experience in IT support, system administration, or a client-facing technical role preferred
- Hands-on experience building and configuring Windows PCs
- Basic understanding of: MacOS, Active Directory, DNS & DHCP, Microsoft 365 / Azure, Networking, Automation tools, Device management
