About the role
Client Specialists are the first point of contact at Barry’s studios, responsible for delivering superior hospitality and maintaining client relationships. This role encompasses front desk operations, facility maintenance, and Fuel Bar service, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and high-energy environment. Ideal candidates are passionate, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about fitness and the Barry’s brand.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk:
- Deliver first-class client experiences through hospitality and personalized service.
- Warmly welcome clients, assist with class bookings, and address questions or concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting studio atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers via phone, email, or in person.
- Guide clients on studio promotions, memberships, and special events.
- Maintain product knowledge for studio retail operations.
- Participate in training and development programs as directed.
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Fuel Bar:
- Prepare and deliver quality protein smoothies with excellent customer service.
- Handle pre-orders and custom orders efficiently.
- Assist clients with product selection and complete POS transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Fuel Bar area per health regulations.
- Rotate merchandise and monitor spoilage according to company policy.
- Follow company recipes and safety procedures.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Clean and prepare studio spaces before, after, and between classes (equipment, floors, mirrors, etc.).
- Maintain locker rooms to brand standards.
- Conduct deep cleaning and organization of common areas (lobby, Red Room, retail shelves, etc.).
- Perform small studio repairs as needed.
- Handle laundry services, including collecting, washing, and folding towels.
- Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning checklists.
- Customer Service:
- Provide the highest level of hospitality to all clients.
- Maintain and utilize the client database to enhance engagement.
- Attend community events to generate new business and invite clients to studio events.
- Use clienteling tools to reach out to current and prospective clients.
Requirements
- Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Ability to work either full-time or part-time:
- Full-time: Minimum 30 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and one weekend day (Saturday/Sunday).
- Part-time: Minimum 24 hours per week, with shifts of 3-4 hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and one weekend day (Saturday/Sunday).
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for social interaction and teamwork.
- Enthusiasm for the studio and the role, with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional cleaning skills and understanding of sanitary practices.
- Attention to detail and commitment to studio appearance and cleanliness.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
Pay
$17.28 USD per hour (Newport Beach).
