About the role

The Client Services Agent position at ARUP Laboratories involves providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. This role requires a supportive link between ARUP customers and the organization, ensuring a professional image through various forms of communication.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify patient orders and demographics according to complex procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Prioritize, research, and respond to requests for test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and fees related to vendors and internal testing.
  • Foster exceptional customer service in all professional interactions, exercising careful deliberation and judgment for complex job requirements.
  • Provide education, guidance, and resolution to customers regarding available resources, information, and application utility.
  • Communicate with technical sections as a liaison between ARUP customers and these departments.
  • Exercise high-quality performance through accuracy and commitment, responding promptly to customer needs.
  • Manage information effectively through case ownership and prioritization, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-through for customer satisfaction.
  • Work in a stooped, reaching, and mobile environment, often moving between work sites and accessing office machinery.
  • Communicate frequently with others, adhering to ARUP policies and procedures, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and fine motor control as needed.

Requirements

This position requires familiarity with ARUP clients and Account Executives, as well as the ability to work in a biohazard laboratory environment requiring personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience in a customer service role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a strong understanding of medical terminology are also required.

Skills

Key skills include excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Benefits

ARUP offers a competitive hourly rate, including shift differential for night, evening, and weekend shifts. The overall hourly rate may vary based on schedule and experience.

Pay

The hourly rate is an estimate and may vary based on schedule and experience. Shifts are typically 7-on/7-off with a B-week schedule from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM (MST).

Schedule

The schedule is 7-on/7-off with a B-week from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM (MST), with a training schedule approximating 9 weeks, including Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM (MST).
