Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor accounts for resource limits and benefit statuses
  • Process rep payee requests and monthly payments/transfers for clients
  • Act as a liaison and resource for program personnel and individuals served on Social Security issues
  • Aid program personnel with paperwork on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure accuracy of budgets sent by team and provide necessary feedback
  • Implement budgets as indicated and ensure compliance
  • Transfer funds from the Central Account to True Link cards according to monthly budget or team request
  • Complete journal entries in the accounting software
  • Prepare and submit Social Security reports, including new applications and annual reports
  • Record monthly Social Security deposits into each client account
  • Generate monthly Rep Payee Transaction Reports and Room & Board/Loan Statements for review and filing
  • Train program management on Client Funds and Charges for Care Policies and Procedures, as well as Social Security requirements
  • Audit program records and support audit procedures
  • Awareness of past due Room & Board/Loan accounts
  • Manage food stamp entitlements for clients served, including scanning cards for monthly funding
  • Pay monthly bills for Rep Payee Individuals on time
  • Aid in managing Client Services daily mail

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving history
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Experience with non-profit bookkeeping preferred
