Responsibilities
- Cultivate professional relationships with customers by engaging in meaningful conversations about their financial needs and goals.
- Identify referral opportunities and submit referrals to banking center team members or line-of-business partners.
- Utilize assessment tools to maintain detailed notes on customer interactions.
- Facilitate and process account transactions accurately and efficiently to minimize errors and reduce fraud.
- Actively participate in morning huddles and may open new accounts with documented management approval.
- Maintain banking center operational standards, ensuring compliance with internal controls, procedures, and risk management.
- Promote teamwork by leading by example and assisting others as needed.
- Provide backup and assistance to other retail banking locations upon request.
- Model and champion the Bank’s standards for exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrate empathy and proactively resolve client concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Support the bank’s values and mission enthusiastically.
- Display integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.
- Complete all essential training in a timely manner and accept constructive feedback for continuous learning.
- Maintain consistent punctuality and attendance.
- Adhere to all Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1+ year of experience interacting with people and displaying excellent service skills (through work, military, or education).
- Knowledge of bank products and services (e.g., online banking, mobile banking applications, banking cards) preferred.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service with a helpful, friendly, and professional disposition.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player approach with the ability to thrive in a continually changing environment.
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail for accurate and efficient productivity.
- Ability to work without close supervision and maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to follow policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
- Ability to travel to other work locations (e.g., for training or staffing shortages) as needed.
- Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office applications necessary for essential job functions.
- Ability to operate customary business equipment and technology, with or without accommodation.
