Client Service Representative w/Animal Experience

About the role

We are seeking a Client Service Representative with experience in the animal field to join our team. Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors
• Answering telephones
• Helping clients with all their pets’ needs
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in the animal field
• A personable yet highly professional demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Some experience in a customer service role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

Preferred skills include:

• Knowledge of animal care and husbandry
• Experience with veterinary billing and insurance
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Pay

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the client service representative and the hospital.
