Client Service Representative- VCA University Animal Hospital
VCA University Animal Hospital is a complete small animal veterinary facility and a full-service boarding facility. We offer many important specialty services such as laser surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and EKG.
We are seeking a Client Service Representative to join our one-of-a-kind 8-doctor General Practice in Tempe, AZ. Our hospital has been serving our community for over 50 years, values learning and growth, and is AHAA accredited. We see a wide range of patients, including exotics and pocket pets, and foster a unique culture that values each person’s individual skill and personality.
About the role
As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice by building and maintaining each customer's trust and confidence. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates.
Responsibilities
- Customer service functions: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (e.g., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, flea & tick control).
- Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
