Client Service Representative - Full-time

About the Role

The Client Services Representative provides office support at the front desk within the Hospital, Ambulatory, or other settings. Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, managing patient insurance information, entering client data into computer systems, and providing accurate financial information to clients. This role supports organizational goals through quality customer service, performance improvement efforts, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and organized scheduling of patient appointments.
• Manage and verify patient insurance information.
• Enter client information into computer systems accurately.
• Provide accurate financial information to clients.
• Demonstrate competencies as outlined in the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
• Participate in performance improvement efforts and teamwork initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Minimum 1 year of insurance experience and familiarity with ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at hire; training will be provided, and proficiency required within 30-60 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a medical setting with strong knowledge of medical records.
• Training in relevant computer programs.

Work Environment

• Potential exposure to hazards and risks of a hospital environment, including infectious diseases, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
• Periodic travel to other department locations may be required.

This position reports to the Department Director, Manager, or Nursing Leadership within the organization.
