Client Service Representative for Days and Nights

About the role

VCA Petcare East Veterinary Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Client Service Representative to join their team. Shifts are available from 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM to Midnight.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and answering telephones
• Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Keeping clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Experience in customer service
• Highly professional demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and pet care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred
