About the role

Trane in Pine Brook, New Jersey is hiring for a Client Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention by developing HVAC system-related solutions.

Prioritize engaging with customers. When not directly interacting with customers, collaborate with colleagues in your office.

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned account managers and their customers with HVAC systems & equipment product selections, application, proposals, and sales development.
  • Quote, close, and transition Technician Leads and other Service repair work under the direction of the Account Managers.
  • Generate estimates and proposals for service work under the direction of the Account Managers.
  • Provide quotes for service repairs, change outs, IAQ, and energy solutions including quotes for time and material as well as fixed price service.
  • Prepare transition documents and communicate project readiness for assignment to operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Account Management, Mechanical Contracting/HVAC, or Facilities Management fields preferred.
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

This is a Safety Sensitive role which may require additional drug screening.

Pay

Annual Base Salary Range: $57,300.00 - $131,800.00 (salary). The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
