About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, articulate, collaborative and team-oriented Client Portfolio Manager to be part of our successful and growing teams in Kansas City or Philadelphia.
Key Responsibilities
- Representing our investment teams to clients and prospects, building the Nomura brand through client engagement, collaboration with internal teams, and a proactive approach in today's evolving asset management landscape
- Serving as an active member of each investment team, developing a detailed understanding of multiple teams' investment approach, portfolios, and views
- Demonstrating strong investment and capital markets acumen, and a detailed understanding of the industry
- Building strong relationships across investment teams, distribution, marketing, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration
- Actively engaging with internal constituents and external clientele to enhance appreciation of the Equity investment platform, effectively communicating each team's investment philosophy, process, insights, and expected client experience in a transparent manner
- Supporting multiple strategies, with a primary focus on domestic US equities, and projects including presentation material, written insights, investment commentaries, RFPs/due diligence questionnaires, market research and competitive positioning analysis while ensuring consistent messaging
- Maintaining a client-first mindset while being a key contributor to long-term business growth
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience within Client Portfolio Management or other client-facing investment roles with deep knowledge of Emerging Markets, International/Global and Thematic strategies
- Ability to work with multiple teams, locations and priorities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and ability to bring projects through completion
- Ability to present and communicate across different client types and audiences
- CFA or MBA preferred
- Series 7 & 63 required or immediately completed
Pay
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $200,000 and $260,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards.
