About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency’s Personal Insurance division is seeking a passionate, people-oriented service professional to develop, implement, and deliver outstanding insurance and risk-management customer service. You’ll tailor personal risk-management solutions to each client’s unique circumstances and work alongside driven sales professionals in a culture that values excellence, integrity, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming service requests from customers and carriers: inform, educate, and make coverage recommendations.
  • Manage new and renewal insurance marketing: negotiate with carriers, prepare presentation and proposal materials, collect customer information, and order policies.
  • Analyze coverage acceptability and placement; recommend improved or additional coverage to customers.
  • Update and maintain accurate customer account data in the agency management system.
  • Identify and follow through on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with colleagues.
  • Deliver effective, efficient customer service as part of a designated sales and service team.
  • Adhere to organization policies, sales and service standards, and established workflows.
  • Ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and contribute positively to the team.

Requirements

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting client needs.
  • Willingness to challenge industry stereotypes and the status quo.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, even in challenging situations.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on positive colleague relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to accuracy in all interactions.
  • Eagerness to learn and pursue professional development.
  • Adaptability to industry changes and evolving client needs.
  • Alignment with core values: accountability, balance, excellence, integrity, respect, and humanity.

We encourage candidates who meet most—but not necessarily all—of these criteria to apply.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package that honors all local and state salary thresholds.
  • Base pay determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education.
  • Eligibility for performance-based incentives and annual profit sharing.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid paternity/maternity leave, medical leave, 401K savings, and wellbeing programs.
