Position Summary
The Client Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, serving as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams. This role oversees the full client service lifecycle including renewals, coverage analysis, and strategic consultation to ensure optimal risk management solutions. The position supports organizational growth through client retention, relationship development, and delivery of high-quality, compliant service while balancing both execution and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a book of commercial client accounts and act as a primary point of contact.
- Provide strategic guidance on risk management and insurance coverage.
- Partner with Client Executives, Risk Advisors, and carriers to deliver tailored solutions.
- Market renewals and new lines including analyzing and negotiating quotes.
- Prepare proposals, coverage comparisons, and policy reviews.
- Maintain accurate client records and transactions in EPIC.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of policies, contracts, and deliverables.
- Meet renewal deadlines and manage service timelines.
- Maintain compliance with E&O standards and audits (90%+ rating).
- Collaborate with internal departments and external carriers.
- Support seamless coordination across service teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in stewardship planning and client meetings.
- I dentify cross-selling and revenue growth opportunities.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices
- Stay current on market trends and industry standards.
- Recommend improvements to workflows and service processes.
- Accountability
- Deliver high-quality, compliant client service and solutions.
- Maintain strong client relationships and retention.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of commercial insurance experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Client-focused with ability to meet stakeholder expectations.
Preferred
- Insurance designations such as CIC or CPCU.
- Experience with Applied EPIC.
- Property & Casualty license required; Life & Health preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
