Essential Functions

  • Conducting conflict checks on new clients for attorneys in the local office
  • Receiving and organizing case documents and correspondence required for the new matter process
  • If a new client is a litigation matter, creating litigation hold letters for attorney approval
  • Processing new matter memos for the local office and entering into Aderant software application
  • Verifying correct rates for clients by reviewing of matter descriptions and practice areas
  • If new client, reviewing documentation to determine new rates to be entered and entering those rates into the system
  • Reviewing and confirming client billing addresses, contact information, and adjuster contact information, if applicable
  • Assigning new client matter numbers and uploading new matter memos and respective documents to iManage

Job Qualifications/Specifications

  • Experience with LawTime, Aderant, or equivalent accounting software is preferred
  • Experience in a legal/law firm environment
  • Attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task
  • Proactive work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative, and uses good judgment
  • Able to adapt based on shifting priorities
  • Proficient using Microsoft office applications
  • Able to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
