Essential Functions
- Conducting conflict checks on new clients for attorneys in the local office
- Receiving and organizing case documents and correspondence required for the new matter process
- If a new client is a litigation matter, creating litigation hold letters for attorney approval
- Processing new matter memos for the local office and entering into Aderant software application
- Verifying correct rates for clients by reviewing of matter descriptions and practice areas
- If new client, reviewing documentation to determine new rates to be entered and entering those rates into the system
- Reviewing and confirming client billing addresses, contact information, and adjuster contact information, if applicable
- Assigning new client matter numbers and uploading new matter memos and respective documents to iManage
Job Qualifications/Specifications
- Experience with LawTime, Aderant, or equivalent accounting software is preferred
- Experience in a legal/law firm environment
- Attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task
- Proactive work ethic
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative, and uses good judgment
- Able to adapt based on shifting priorities
- Proficient using Microsoft office applications
- Able to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
