Key Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
- Process bank transactions, including deposits and disbursements.
- Ensure that deposits are recorded to the appropriate client matter and that disbursements have appropriate supporting documentation and approvals.
- Set up vendors to meet IRS criteria, including minimal comprehension of tax laws.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage Trust Accounts to comply with state regulations and firm policies.
- Manage bank account opening and maintain good banking relationships, including signature account maintenance, assisting with on-line access, and entitlements.
- Store and file records of transactions.
- Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal, mathematical, written, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization skills and sense of urgency to requests.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and work demands.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- High ability to work independently as well as with others in a team setting.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.
Required Qualifications & Education
- 2 - 5 years relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Bachelor's of Finance, Accounting, Math, or Economics Degree.
