Client Director- Professional Services Sales (US East)
About the role
As a Client Director at OpenText, you will drive Professional Services sales, revenue generation, and client success across accounts in the eastern region of the US. You will own all aspects of Professional Services within your territory, including driving services sales, supporting license and cloud opportunities, and ensuring successful solution implementation. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to clients, strengthening relationships, and positioning the full portfolio of Professional Services to maximize client value.
Responsibilities
- Sell Professional Services across different accounts.
- Generate revenue opportunities by developing solutions for clients using creativity and available tools.
- Create a pipeline of opportunities to meet quarterly budget expectations for bookings.
- Negotiate project deliverables, schedules, and costing for services from external suppliers or other groups within OpenText.
- Regularly and timely update opportunity status in the CEM system (Salesforce.com).
- Work with the sales team to generate revenue within existing accounts by proposing solution realization, enhancement, and operational services, including updates, upgrades, and customization.
- Ensure timely delivery and management of resource forecasting, opportunity forecasting, proposal/SOW writing, and achieving required approvals, contract, and invoicing status.
- Understand revenue forecasting and accurately report on quarterly revenue and bookings to the Regional Vice-President.
- Partner cross-functionally with the Professional Services team to support RFP development, drive opportunity tracking, and contribute to business development synergy sessions.
- Communicate client account activities effectively to key OpenText stakeholders.
- Engage with C-Level executives.
Requirements
- University Degree or College Diploma and/or relevant IM/IT experience (10+ years) or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience with IT systems.
- Experience selling Professional Services.
- Expertise in complex business and technical processes and their implications across the enterprise.
- Knowledge of project management disciplines and processes.
- Knowledge of OpenText product offerings and how to associate them with client’s business requirements (preferred).
- Ability to use standard methodologies to quickly evaluate and size an opportunity.
- Ability to quickly assemble business requirements to OpenText modules and provide budgetary estimates.
- Previous experience in planning and implementing large-scale ECM projects.
- At least two years of prior experience closing and directing engagements totaling at least $1 million in annual fees.
- Experience selling to and/or working for enterprise clients across the US East Territory.
- Strong presence and confidence, exhibiting professional maturity and strong communication skills with at least 10 to 15 years of working experience.
- Solid work ethic with a willingness to "do what it takes" to meet client demands.
- Willingness to travel, at times, up to 3-4 days per week.

Pay
Salary range: $132,800 - $199,200. Depending on education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and could be higher or lower than the posted range.
Schedule
- Willingness to travel up to 3-4 days per week.
