Client Development Manager - Insurance
About the Role
This position is responsible for acquiring new clients and growing business with existing clients to achieve revenue targets. The role involves developing revenue and increasing market share through identifying and securing sales from competitively held target accounts, new opportunities, and existing assigned accounts. You will build and evolve account strategies, connect with key stakeholders, and develop national action plans to meet client initiatives. The role requires meeting financial sales targets and managing Salesforce (CRM) information for reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective strategies for managing and growing revenue within assigned accounts.
- Build and evolve account strategies, focusing on key stakeholders in client operations.
- Create national action plans tailored to each client’s key initiatives (e.g., share of wallet, geography).
- Identify and leverage influencers within each account, including client influencers, SERVPRO executives, and the franchise community.
- Develop and drive sustainable volume and results within assigned accounts.
- Understand each client’s business strategies and financial drivers.
- Monitor and manage assigned accounts for long-term profitability while preserving client relationships.
- Manage Salesforce (CRM) data accurately and timely for leadership reporting.
- Operate within assigned expense and program budgets.
- Measure sales activities and processes with a robust implementation strategy, utilizing corporate tools and resources.
- Target opportunities within assigned accounts to expand relationships and discover growth windows.
- Collaborate with assigned teams to develop growth strategies and define responsibilities.
- Orchestrate team activities to implement strategies, secure accounts, and establish communication processes.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of consultative B2B, solution-based sales experience with a proven record of generating revenue and meeting sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, including strategic account planning, opportunity development, and market/competitive analysis.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and ability to interpret and apply clinical or technical information.
- Financial acumen, including P&L management, profitability analysis, ROI evaluation, and business case development.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans.
- Proficiency with Salesforce; skilled in Excel, Tableau/Power BI, and presentation tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, digital marketing tools, and collaboration platforms.
- Experience with strategic planning, forecasting, data analysis, and account planning frameworks.
- Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including defining problems, gathering data, and developing creative solutions.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and motivate others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior executives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, vendors, franchisees, and internal partners.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- Adaptable to changing tools, processes, and fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant academic discipline.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, high-pressure office environment.
- Standard 40-hour work week with additional hours as needed to complete assignments and projects.
- Travel required based on business conditions; valid driver’s license or US Passport is a plus.
- Hybrid work location at headquarters.
- Flexibility to support business demands up to 24/7 during storm events; occasional weekend and holiday travel may be required.
Pay
The actual salary offered will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location, with a compensation range of $110,000–$138,000 plus up to 40% incentive bonus.
