Client Advocate I
About the role
As a Client Advocate at CVS Health, you’ll support the service and administration of Meritain products to achieve client satisfaction and profitable growth. You’ll build relationships with assigned clients, brokers, and internal partners, monitor activity and reporting for your book of business, provide proactive and reactive support for client issues, and contribute to client retention.
Responsibilities
- Service assigned book of business.
- Acknowledge customer inquiries within one business day.
- Create and maintain PDET (Product Design Engineering Technology) cases as outlined in policy guidelines.
- Act as the single point of contact for client operational inquiries and escalated issues, including resolutions for claims, enrollment, ID cards, COBRA, FSA, network operations, PBM, customer service, EDI files, and finance.
- Provide plan document interpretation and address client questions.
- Conduct client portal training.
- Support operational departments to enhance member experience through improved workflows and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities that support account owners in developing and delivering strategic plans.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience working with health insurance.
- 2-3 years of experience working with claims.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with stop-loss products.
- DG & Salesforce experience.
- General knowledge of Meritain applications.
- Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Conflict resolution, flexibility, time management, and active listening skills.
- Knowledge and experience with administrative operations.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Education
High school diploma or GED + 2 years of relevant experience. Associate’s Degree preferred.
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $43,888.00 - $102,081.00 annually. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.

- Full-time position.
- 40 anticipated weekly hours.
