Client Accounting Specialist

Location: Parsippany, NJ • Full-Time

About the role

We're looking for a Client Accounting Specialist to join our growing CPA firm. In this client-facing role, you'll partner with clients to support their day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with our Accounting Supervisor to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Support client accounting functions and day-to-day financial operations.
• Process accounts payable and manage bill payments using Bill.com.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and answer accounting-related questions.
• Support the Accounting Supervisor with client engagements, workflow management, and deadlines.
• Help improve processes and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting support, bookkeeping, or client accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is required; Bill.com experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and a professional, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An accounting degree is not required—we value relevant experience and a willingness to learn.
