Responsibilities
- Apply a controller’s mindset to client engagements, ensuring financial statements are accurate, reconciled, and ready for various recipients.
- Work comfortably between cash and accrual (GAAP) accounting, performing conversions, adjustments, and analysis as required by the client's reporting needs.
- Collaborate with clients on budgeting, cash flow management, and light financial planning.
- Manage a portfolio of 20-30 client engagements, overseeing monthly close, financial statement preparation, and the integrity of the general ledger.
- Use modern accounting systems and data workflows, such as QuickBooks Online, to manage and analyze accounting data.
- Lead and manage a CAS team of 2-3 professionals, ensuring efficient work completion within clients' budgets and service goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years in accounting work, public accounting experience a plus.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting and monthly close processes.
- Strong understanding of both cash and accrual accounting.
- Experience supervising multiple staff members.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (preferred).
- Experience with Excel / Google Sheets.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to work in a remote environment with modern technology.

Pay
$80,000 - $90,000 per year, or hourly equivalent, plus a variable compensation plan.
Schedule
Hybrid in Austin, Texas, or work from home.
