Client Accounting Manager

A growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to manage a portfolio of business clients. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with client relationship management, making it ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys serving as a trusted financial partner.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting partner for an assigned portfolio of clients, building strong relationships through responsive and professional service.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure the integrity of client financial records.
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle bookkeeping and operational accounting functions.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and tax professionals to support client needs and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate existing workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while effectively prioritizing deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide guidance and insights to clients regarding financial results, accounting matters, and business operations.
• Proactively identify issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement practical accounting solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, client accounting, or outsourced accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and month-end close.
• Advanced QuickBooks experience required.
• Experience managing multiple clients, entities, or business units.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and build strong client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Pay
