About the role
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Client Account Manager/Senior Project Manager - Environmental Compliance focused with expertise in environmental health & safety compliance and account management to support business growth and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business strategies to expand AECOM’s environmental compliance services.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities in the public and private sectors.
- Leverage an existing book of clients to generate sales and secure high-value environmental projects.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop and present proposals, technical solutions, and service offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to align with client needs and financial objectives.
- Provide industry insight and stay updated on environmental regulations, compliance standards, and emerging trends.
- Support cross-business collaboration to provide integrated environmental solutions across multiple sectors.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while contributing to the long-term strategic vision of AECOM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in managing client accounts, sales and drive business development initiatives within environmental compliance services.
- Travel of 25-50% will be required, as this is a client facing role.
- Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification are required.
- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in account management, sales, and environmental compliance services.
- Experience leading large-scale environmental compliance projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance.
- Established industry relationships with clients in government, energy, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Experience in contract negotiations, sales forecasting, and revenue management.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization, coordinating across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, data analytics, and sales tracking platforms.
Pay
$160000 to $215000 - yearly
