STATEMENT OF DUTIES

  • Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Plans and directs the business operations and integration of all divisional business and financial functions, including case management, calendaring, public information, cash handling, and court operations.
  • Directs the development, implementation, maintenance, and coordination of divisional operations including the policies and procedures, program operations, workflow, legal and statutory requirements, and customer service.
  • Oversees and completes daily operations, including data entry, tracking and implementing legislative changes, and maintaining case files.
  • Maintains the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the court record by ensuring compliance with coding, case processing, statutes, record retention guidelines, and court rules.
  • Enters new cases into the case management system, including reviewing electronic filings, supporting and evaluating senior judges, executing titles, deeds, and other legal documents, and securing files as required.
  • Provides statistical information and analysis to assist with in case flow management.
  • Prepares, manages, and utilizes reports to provide oversight as required pursuant to rule, statute, and policy.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with community members and stakeholders.
  • Participates in meetings regarding courthouse security and jail/court operations and participates on local workgroups and committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Work requires managing and monitoring work performance by directing multiple groups of employees across more than one business function within an organization unit, including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Equivalency - High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Work Related Experience: At least seven (7) years of experience in clerical, legal, business, and/or customer service.
  • Licenses And Certifications: None.

Physical Effort Requirements

  • Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Work Environment

  • Good-Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
  • Work Location: Office or similar indoor environment.
  • Exposures: Individuals who are hostile or irate; individuals with known violent backgrounds.
