Cleared Armed Security Officer - Clearance Required

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in San Antonio, TX, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. This driving post combines customer service, clear communication, and integrity while supporting a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and first responders.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor requirements in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$26.53 / hour

• Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
