Cleaning Manager - Citizens Live at The Wylie

Job Summary

Citizens Live at The Wylie is seeking a Cleaning Manager who will oversee all cleaning functions to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly experience for guests.

About the role

The role involves managing cleaning staff, organizing meetings, handling payroll, conducting pre-event inspections, ensuring cleanliness during events, managing inventory, and aligning with the Operations Manager on budgetary needs.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline cleaning service staff.
• Assign and direct cleaning staff before, during, and after events.
• Schedule cleaning staff in accordance with show needs and staffing plans.
• Handle payroll input for cleaning department.
• Conduct pre-event inspections of all venue areas prior to opening.
• Ensure cleanliness of venue is maintained during events.
• Address trash, spills and debris, restroom tidiness, and slip hazards.
• Ensure proper cleaning procedures and correct products are used.
• Report any repair needs and coordinate with operations team.
• Manage cleaning product inventory and coordinate with venue leadership on orders.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program.
• Partner with fellow crew members at the end of show to close the venue and ensure all trash is removed.
• Post-show, ensure all surfaces are disinfected, floors are scrubbed, and restrooms are cleaned and restocked.
• Ensure green rooms, tour catering room, and other artist spaces are cleaned and reset between shows.
• Align with Operations Manager on budgetary needs for efficient operation of department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of cleaning needs and best practices for a large facility.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar software.
• Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
• Strong relationship building and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work various, flexible hours, inclusive of nights and weekends.
