Cleaner - 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned areas of our plant and office.

Responsibilities

• Daily Duties:
  • Clean all offices, vacuum floors, sweep & mop, empty and clean garbage containers, and empty shredders.
  • Clean kitchens, including countertops, microwaves, garbage containers, fridge, mop floor, and load/unload the dishwasher.
  • Clean boardroom tables, chairs, empty garbage, mop floors, clean fridge and countertop, and refill fridge and cabinet with water/pop.
  • Clean and disinfect all washrooms and locker rooms, including toilets, sinks, countertops, and floors.
  • Clean lunchroom, including tables, chairs, microwaves, countertop, sink, fridge, and floor.
  • Refill all soap, lotion, paper/toilet paper dispensers in both plant and office areas.
  • Provide a list of supplies to be ordered to the MRO Coordinator as necessary.
  • Replenish PPE at appropriate locations, including lens cleaner, gloves, rags, and wipes.
  • Run scrubber on the plant floor twice per day or as required.
  • Take out garbage to compactor.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by management.
• Weekly Duties:
  • Major clean-up of all fridges, microwaves, and disinfect all door handles, countertops, and garbage containers.
  • Clean internal windows in main lobby areas.
  • Water plants.
• Monthly Duties:
  • Clean office blinds, tops of cubicle cabinets, and tops of lockers.

Requirements

• Able to read, write, and understand English to execute verbal or written instructions.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset, especially in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
• Initiative and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Forklift license is an asset.
