Classroom Aide: Kindergarten

Midland Elementary School – 2026-2027 school year (positions filled as needed). 10-month, part-time role; not eligible for health insurance benefits.

About the role

Assist in establishing and maintaining a calm, safe, and pleasant atmosphere in classrooms, cafeteria, and playground areas.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities under the direction of the lead teacher
• Help supervise students in the cafeteria and on the playground
• Maintain a positive and orderly environment

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Demonstrated ability to perform the work
• New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
• Successful completion of controlled substance testing and criminal history background check

Pay

$19.60–$22.45 per hour, based on prior school-based experience.
