Classroom Aide

About the role

Needed in Columbia to help the Teacher with classroom activities. Some classrooms are for children ages 3 - 5 and some for infants to age 2. The Head Start program offers a structured learning environment with active supervision and engagement from staff.

Responsibilities

• Help the Teacher with classroom activities
• Supervise children in a structured learning environment
• Engage with children to promote their development

Requirements

• Experience working with low-income families and children preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Daycare, preschool, or childcare work experience helpful
