About the role
Lifesteps is hiring a part-time Assistant Group Supervisor (AGS / Teacher Aides / Child Care Assistants) to work at the Children's Services center in the Butler, PA area. This full-time position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm with weekends and holidays off.
Responsibilities
- Care and supervision of children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years
- Assisting with lesson planning
- Creating activities
- Supervising playtime
- Providing a nurturing environment
- Updating parents about the child's day
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children (can be paid or unpaid)
- Able to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
- Able to provide acceptable state clearances
- Able to multi-task and work in a team environment
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
Pay
This is a part-time position with flexible hours, Monday through Friday, daylight hours.
