About the role
The Classification & Compensation Specialist plays a crucial role in the Human Resources team of Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). This position involves providing professional human resources services and technical guidance to managers and HR partners across the agency. Key responsibilities include developing formal classification determinations, conducting internal equity analyses, and designing, administering, and participating in job classification projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop formal classification determinations
- Conduct internal equity analyses to promote pay parity
- Provide strategic planning and guidance on job classification matters
- Support workforce planning initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders
- Provide expert guidance on job classification and compensation issues
Requirements
- Two (2) years of Human Resources experience conducting job analysis, compensation analysis, and/or classification analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a closely related field (may substitute one (1) year of experience)
Qualifications
- Experience interpreting current employment laws, regulations, and policies related to classification, recruitment, selection, hiring, promotion, and/or retention of employees
- Experience conducting public sector job analysis/classification
- Experience contributing to HR projects, process improvements, or change management initiatives

Pay
$28.75 - $42.16 per hour; $60,030 - $88,030 annually
Schedule
Day shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
