Night Shift – Sunday 5:00 pm to finish; Monday‑Thursday 6:00 pm to finish.

Starting pay $24.60 per hour.

Position Summary

The Yard Driver is responsible for moving tractor‑trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas. The role also includes transporting tractor‑trailers to off‑site maintenance or inspection facilities, fueling, and ensuring all driving is performed safely in accordance with company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Yard Driver interacts professionally with co‑workers and vendors, performs general housekeeping, and may be assigned additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform required safety checks (pre/post‑trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues, hazards, and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return paperwork related to off‑site maintenance or inspection facilities.
• Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.
• Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months of tractor‑trailer experience.
• Valid CDL‑A (must be 21 years of age).
• Ability to work scheduled times and required overtime.
• Meet all state licensing and certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass pre‑employment drug test and road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
