Class A Linehaul Driver

We are seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all required paperwork. Our Linehaul Drivers are home daily with weekends off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods over long distances

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain (renewals reimbursable)
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Physical Demands

• Frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle
• Carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet
• Hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate fifth wheel release levers, lock and release pintle-hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb into and out of vehicles, and fuel and check oil/coolant levels

Pay

$0.79 per mile ($36/hour for pick & delivery) plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

6:00 PM start time, Monday through Friday. Local, home-daily dedicated routes with consistent miles/hours worked and weekends off.
