About the role
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our Davie, FL team. You will safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials to various locations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This position reports to the Facility Manager and is based in Davie, FL.
The Driver position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for taking on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive and includes rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to box trucks and tankers, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate digital logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, following all applicable DOT regulations.
- Complete all required manifest paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
- Properly secure load to ensure safe and compliant transportation of materials.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain industry knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with active Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
- Must participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) upon employment.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis.
- Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Previous experience in environmental services or related field.
