Class A Grinder/ Metal Finisher
About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate standard hand grinders.
- Debur, buff, and/or polish materials to specifications.
- Examine and feel surface of product for defects.
- Remove defects, scratches, excess weld material, and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface.
- Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility.
- Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical demands
- Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities require close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.

Qualifications
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
