Class A Driver

About the role

PACE Supply’s Oakland, CA branch is hiring experienced and dedicated Class A drivers to join our team. Drivers will have the opportunity to work flexible hours, home every night, and enjoy weekends off.

Responsibilities

• Safe Driving & Compliance - Operate vehicles in a safe, responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Route Planning & Delivery Coordination - Plan efficient routes, maintain accurate records of deliveries, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely drop-offs.
• Loading & Unloading - Handle cargo with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage.
• Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance - Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Documentation & Record-Keeping - Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and any required paperwork for compliance and tracking.
• Vehicle Security & Cleanliness - Ensure the vehicle is properly secured before transit and maintain a clean, organized interior and exterior.

Requirements

• Must Have Manual Transmission Experience

Qualifications

• Valid Class A license with a "T" endorsement (doubles, triples, tankers)
• Clean driving record
• Medical Certification Clearance Card
• F.M.S.C. Clearinghouse registration
• O.T. Registered

Skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Previous delivery experience (minimum of two years) of wholesale products and warehouse environments preferred
